I had been hearing stories for some time about a bald eagles nest behind my house. So, I figured I would head out there and check it out for myself. Low and behold, there was indeed an eagles nest! As far as nests go, this one was pretty typical – really high up in a tree, lots of branches obscuring everything, and in very tight quarters. To confound photography ever further, the favored perch is even less accessible and photogenic than the nesting site. This left me with one alternative – flight shots.
Really, these photos are from what I would consider to be a scouting trip of the nesting site. Therefore, expect more to come.
